Hey everyone, I’m Charlotte M. Ellett, and I joined the OpenShift team this year as a Developer Evangelist! I’m excited to do a lot of interesting stuff with OpenShift as a .NET user, and to show you how you can, too. I’m Graham Dumpleton and I recently joined Red Hat as a Developer Evangelist on the OpenShift team. I am based out of Sydney Australia and will be representing Red Hat in the Asia Pacific region.

For those who don’t already know me, I have been quite active in the Python developer community for many years. I am most well known as being the author of mod_wsgi, a module for hosting Python web applications in conjunction with the Apache HTTP server. Apache combined with mod_wsgi is the default way of hosting Python web applications using the Python cartridge under OpenShift, so if you are already using Python with OpenShift there is a good chance you would be using mod_wsgi.

Getting Productive with OpenShift on Windows

One of the greatest pleasures in life is ordering new hardware and assembling a new box. For those curious, I went with the current gen i7 4ghz CPU, 32gb of ram, etc etc. Having this new box I decided to install both the Windows and Fedora Linux operating systems. The point of this blog post is to let others who are thinking of moving back to Windows after a hiatus over to OS X get a glimpse at some of the tools I have installed in order to feel productive as a developer who mainly pushes code to the OpenShift platform.
