From the AWS Blog: What Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated can do for you

While Red Hat OpenShift makes it easier for teams to implement and run Kubernetes-based Linux container infrastructure, there are scenarios where a team may be too small or spread too thin even to administrate an OpenShift cluster on their own. For these teams, we offer Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated, a fully managed and provisioned service […]

Using AWS and OpenShift Together

openshift_container_platform

At Red Hat Summit of this year, Amazon Web Services and Red Hat announced that we’d be natively integrating access to AWS cloud services into the OpenShift platform. Our first delivery towards that promise arrives this week with the release of OpenShift Container Platform 3.7. Users can now access AWS services from within OpenShift seamlessly from a single platform. Operations can administer AWS services and developers can easily find, bind, and consume those services within their applications in a truly hybrid-cloud environment.

This allows companies to run both existing applications and new (cloud-native, microservices) applications in containers, on Kubernetes. This week, we sat down with Paul Morie (@cheddarmint, Principal Software Engineer @RedHat, […]

What is Enterprise-Ready Kubernetes?

What is Enterprise-Ready Kubernetes?

Over two years ago, the OpenShift team made a critical decision to support both Docker containers and the emerging Kubernetes project. At the time, that decision was a classic innovator’s dilemma. Their challenge at the time was not unlike the conversations that we have with customers on a daily basis. How can their company make a transition towards becoming a more digital-native company? How can their company get there without abandoning all of their existing investments, or giving up some existing advantages they have in their marketplace? How can they avoid building a DIY platform?
