As we close in on another KubeCon, it's useful to examine how the industry has evolved to provide platforms and services that are optimized for the applications that drive business. The Kubernetes community has evolved from a 1st era (Google open sourced Kubernetes, CNCF was formed, early-early adopters) to 2nd era (adding many types of applications to Kubernetes) to now the 3rd era, which will be dominated by highly automated platforms and the further automation of application deployments.

So as this new era begins, we have to ask ourselves if you're getting closer to a point where the platforms and services that are available are Kubernetes-Native, or if they are still combining technologies from a previous era. In this week's show we start to explore what Kubernetes-Native might mean, and dig into areas where this is evolving and where it may be lagging.
