Monitoring containers can be challenging, especially in frequently changing environments. One of the most popular monitoring frameworks for Kubernetes environment is Prometheus.

We sat down with Julius Volz (@juliusvolz), co-creator of the Prometheus project to talk about the challenges that Prometheus solves, how it does monitoring and interacts with other systems, how it works with Kubernetes, and common-use cases and patterns.
