One of the most frequently discussed topics that we've had on the show is how Kubernetes has expanded the breadth of applications that can be containerized. This allows companies to run both existing applications and new (cloud-native, microservices) applications in containers, on Kubernetes.

This week, we sat down with Paul Morie (@cheddarmint, Principal Software Engineer @RedHat, Lead of Kubernetes Service Catalog SIG) to discuss how the Service Catalog project is helping to expand and integrate even more services. He shared with us how the project emerged from the Open Service Broker API initiative, how it is integrating with Kubernetes, and how it will interact with 3rd-party "services" to further expand application environments. As a core contributor to the project, Paul delivers great insight into the architecture of the Service Catalog.
