OpenShift Commons .Gov SIG Talk Summary

In this OpenShift Commons .GOV SIG meeting, Red Hat's Jason Callaway, a Principal Solutions Architect for some of the largest Department of Defense agencies gives an excellent introduction to FISMA compliance regulations and to the OpenShift Compliance Guide that his team has developed based on OpenShift deployments they’ve overseen.

Any deployment of OpenShift on networks owned by the US federal government, including those owned by the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, is required to be compliant with FISMA [0] security standards. Making OpenShift Container Platform 3.3 FISMA compliant is now easier than ever with the OpenShift Compliance Guide.  We also discussed how the guide was developed, how we think we can meet the criteria for FISMA High, challenges we encountered, and how the community can contribute to the guide itself in this SIG session.
