OpenShift Commons Briefing Summary

In this briefing, NGINX's Chief Architect, Chris Stetson gave an excellent introduction to Microservices architectures.

Drawing on his past experiences to illustrate the shift from monolith to microservices, Chris then dove into the networking problems that arise with these new architectural models such as service discovery, load balancing, and encryption.
M

He demonstrated the ins and outs of implementing the Proxy, RouterMesh and Fabric model Microservice network architectures in OpenShift to solve these use cases. Chris also discusses the configuration and deployment details of using Kubernetes and the other facilities provided by OpenShift to achieve a powerful, high-speed and resilient network architecture.
