What inspired you to be a developer?
Being a developer involves balancing knowledge, creativity and logic. The challenge of mastering all three is what initially drew me to development.
Why did you choose OpenShift as your hosting platform?
OpenShift allows me to deploy fast, scalable web applications. It is very easy to get up and running in a matter of minutes.
Tell us more about your application currently hosted on OpenShift:
- Name: Elements
- What does it do? Elements is a graphical overhaul of openweathermap’s popular API. It provides rich, robust and minimal weather data in a simple UI context without all of the other stuff!
- What technologies were used to create your app? Node.js, Express, Angular.js, C3.js and Bootstrap.
- What motivated you to create this application and what problems does it solve? I wanted to create a weather application that I would use. Elements is a simple solution to ugly weather GUIs. It only contains basic or minimal weather data in a clean, easy to understand format.
